CHARLESTON – The Buccaneers' Women's Cross Country Team opened their 2025 fall with a team title at the CSU Buccaneer Open on Friday morning.
Giada D'Agostino had the best finish of runners competing for a university.
Keerstin Augustin won the race, competing unattached, and had a course record and personal best of 16:29.0.
D'Agostino was the top finisher for the Bucs with her massive personal best of 17:57.2.
Freya Buglass was the next CSU runner across the line with a time of 18:01.4. After her,
Katrina Husby,
Charlize Antia and
Lucy McNamara went 6-7-8 with times of 18:39.4, 18:49.1 and 18:56.3 to round out the top five finishers to claim first.
As a team, Charleston Southern ended the day with a score of 22 points for the team title. SCAD Savannah was the runner-up and is entered the week ranked as #8 at the NAIA level. The Citadel was third followed by Columbia College and S.C. State to round it out.
The Buccaneers will be back in action on Saturday, September 13 to race the Furman Invitational in Greenville, South Carolina.
