ATHENS, Ga. – The Charleston Southern men's golf team concluded play at the Southern Intercollegiate, finishing ninth in a 15-team field with a two-round score of 620 (44-over par). The tournament was hosted by the University of Georgia and played at Athens Country Club, a par-72 course measuring 6,917 yards.
Theo Takman led the Buccaneers tying for 21st overall. He improved in the second round after opening with a 77 and followed with a 75 to finish at 152 (8-over par) for the tournament.
Dewi John finished close behind, tying for 24th place after posting rounds of 76 and 77 to record a two-round total of 153 (9-over par).
Bailey Bjornson tied for 48th overall with rounds of 78 and 80, finishing the event at 158 (14-over par).
Alex North placed tied for 62nd after carding a 74 in the opening round before closing with an 88 to finish at 162 (18-over par).
Spencer Benton rounded out the CSU lineup, tying for 72nd with rounds of 82 and 83 for a total of 165 (21-over par).
As a team, Charleston Southern opened with a 305 in round one before posting a 315 in the final round to finish ninth overall.
