RALEIGH, N.C. – Charleston Southern finished their time at the Raleigh Relays on Saturday. There were three new marks added to the school's all-time top ten list for various events during the day's action.
In the 400m hurdles, Chloee Greene ran a personal best in the event with a time of 60.31 for 11
th overall in the field and still sixth in program history. After her were
Brenda du Toit at 61.02,
Grenisha Thomas at 61.80 and
Barbara de Kock at 62.89. Chloe Mae Wilks also ran in it and had a career best of 66.18.
In the women's 800m,
Freya Buglass was the Bucs' top finisher. She had a time of 2:13.95 in the race. After her were
Lucy McNamara at 2:15.91 and
Sienna Rose at 2:17.11 making their collegiate outdoor debuts in the event. McNamara's time cranks at seventh in school history.
In the 200m dash,
Maeva Tahou recorded another personal best in the event as she ran 24.49.
Maya Clark was the next Buc to finish and had a 24.80.
Katelyn Grate had a 25.26, Danea Niles had a 25.27 and
Caroline Aslerin had a 25.48.
The day came to an end with the women's 4x400m relay. The Bucs recorded a time of 3:40.47 in the race to place third overall in the field.
In the field, the hammer throw was competed.
Zemaya Carson placed 12
th overall with her 55.18m and
Lily Rowan had a career best of 48.51 in the event. Rowan's mark places her at tenth in program history.
Charleston Southern will return to action next weekend for the Florida Relays. The meet hosted by the University of Florida will be competed from Friday, April 3 through Saturday, April 4 in Gainesville, Florida.
