Cory Rhodes

2011 Outdoor: Took 8th in the long jump with a mark of 5.81m at the Palmetto Classic (3/11)…Finished 25th in the 100m dash with a time of 11.41 seconds at the Coastal Carolina Invitational…Also placed 11th in the triple jump at the Coastal Carolina Invitational with a mark of 13.08m (42-11.00)…Placed 2nd in the triple jump with a mark of 13.12m (43-0.50) at the Chanticleer Classic (4/15)…Also finished 5th at the Chanticleer Classic in the long jump with a mark of 6.05m (19-10.25).

CSU: A member of the jumps crew, has competed in the long jump and triple jump events for the Bucs.

High School: Holds multiple records at Goose Creek HS, where he ran for CSU Hall of Fame Coach Jim Settle … was a member of the 4x100m relay team that qualified for Nike Outdoor Nationals … named the team captain and MVP as a junior and a senior and helped lead his team to the first County Championship … made it to the state meet in the 4x100m and 4x400m relays … earned all-county, all-region and all-state honors in four different sprinting events and was an A-Honor Roll student … earned the Gator Pride award as a junior for all around citizenship … also played football for the Gators as a wide receiver, corner, punt returner and kickoff returner, and was a member of the band earning first-chair percussion honors all four years.

Personal: Son of Ira Sr., and LaTonya Rhodes … majoring in kinesiology and psychology at CSU with hopes of becoming a track coach and massage therapist.
