Dave Padilla begins his fourth season on the CSU coaching staff in the fall of 2012 after joining the Buccaneers in the 2009 season after a two-year stint at Ventura College in California.
At VC, he was part of the 2007 WSC championship team that went on to win the Southern California Bowl. He worked with the offensive and defensive lines, as well as being the Placement Coordinator and Director of Football Operations.
The Oxnard, Calif., native is active in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and was the director of operations for FCA in Ventura County. In 1996, he created the Iron Sharpens Iron Leadership Academy, which prepares young men and women for entrance into our nation’s service academies. Because of his work in creating this program, Padilla was awarded with an honorary membership into the West Point Association of Graduates as a lifetime member and honored with the prestigious Friends of West Point award for his support and commitment to the values and traditions that support the United State Corps of Cadets.
