2011-2012: Matched season-high with 19 points and corralled season-best seven rebounds in CSU’s narrow 72-67 loss at Kansas State to open season on Nov. 11…Posted 12 and 10 points in Bucs’ back-to-back wins over Bluefield (Nov. 15) and Milligan (Nov. 19)…Recorded 14 points, four rebounds and two assists in CSU’s 96-69 victory over Erskine on Dec. 28…Went for 17 points in CSU’s 88-78 loss at High Point on Jan. 2…Chipped in 15 points and four rebounds off bench in CSU’s 91-73 win over Campbell on Jan. 5…Hit several clutch free-throws down stretch and finished with 13 points in CSU’s 65-58 win over Presbyterian on Jan. 12…Scored in double-figures in each of the final four regular season games, and then again in opening contest of Big South Tournament…Hit first four shots en route to equaling season-high with 19 points in CSU’s 77-59 win over Wofford on Feb. 18…Helped clinch 65-59 victory over Radford on Feb. 25 by nailing four straight free-throws in final minute…Contributed best all-around performance of season on Feb. 29 vs. Liberty in BSC Tourney, hitting for 13 points, six rebounds, and career-high tying seven assists.

2010-2011:  Started in all 32 games for the Buccaneers, his 32.7 minutes per game were second on the team and 7th in the Big South Conference. He was second on the team with 2.7 assists per game. He averaged 10.8 points per game (20th in the Big South) and 4.0 field goals, both were good for 3rd on the team…Second on the team in field goal attempts (328), as well as 3-pointers made (59)…Had a season-high six rebounds in the opening game against Georgia Tech (Nov. 12)…recorded his first double-digit scoring game of the season against Montreat (Nov. 18) dropping in 11 including seven assists…Had a team-high 19 points in a win against Bluefield (Dec. 21), going 8-15 from the field…Scored a season-high 20 points in a win against VMI (Feb. 3)…Shot .636 (7-11) from the field against Liberty… Went 7-7 from the charity stripe at home against Coastal Carolina.

2009-10: Named the Big South Freshman of the Year for his performance during the 2009-10 season… Also earned a spot on the Big South All-Freshman team… Honored as the Big South Player of the Week  on January 18, 2010 and earned Big South Freshman of the Week nods on December 7, December 23 and January 11… Averaged 12.7 ppg, good for third on the team and 14th in the Big South… Had seven points and four rebounds in his collegiate debut at Maryland (11/13/09)… Scored in double digits for the first time with 17 points in the Bucs’ 99-50 win over Trinity (11/23/09)… Also dished out a career high seven assists against the Tigers… Went turnover-free while putting up 12 points in a 103-53 victory against Toccoa Falls (11/30/09)… Put up 22 points in 28 minutes of action against VMI ( 12/5/09)… Contributed 19 points, three assists and a steal to lead the Bucs to a 57-54 victory over Big South foe Winthrop (1/4/10)… Hit a three-pointer with 31 seconds left to give CSU the lead and eventually the win in the team’s overtime contest at UNC Asheville (1/9/10)… Tied Kelvin Martin with a 20 point performance to lead the Bucs to a 73-69 win over High Point (1/14/10)… Put up a career high 23 points against Gardner-Webb on February 6… Had 18 points during a career-high 42 minutes in the Big South Tournament Quarterfinals as the team lost in overtime to Radford ( 3/2/10)… Led the team in scoring eight times throughout the season.

High School:  At Tennessee Temple Academy, Sexton was the district and region player of the year in 2008 and 2009... Was an all-state selection both years, and was named to the 2009 all-state tournament team, leading his squad to a runner-up finish... Amassed over 2,100 points over his career and was the Chattanooga High School Player of the Year, and a McDonald’s All-American nominee as a senior... Had three triple-doubles in his senior year, averaging 18 points, eight assists and six rebounds a game, earning him a runner-up finish as Tennessee’s Mr. Basketball.

Personal:  Son of Danny and Jamessetta Sexton... born on Nov. 3rd, 1990 in Chattanooga, Tenn. ... Came to CSU because of a great environment and family feeling... Has hopes to one day be in the NBA or own his own business... Best basketball memory is hitting a game winner as a freshman in high school during the regional championship.
