2013: Appeared in 38 games and started 29...Finished the year hitting .283 with a home run, a triple, four doubles, 16 RBI and 14 runs scored...Collected eight multi-hit games, including one 3-hit day and a 4-hit effort...Went 2-for-3 with an RBI in series clinching win over Eastern Kentucky (2/17)...Cracked lone home run of the season, added a double and went 3-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored at North Florida (3/3)...Had an excellent night in CSU's first road win of the season at USC Upstate (4/10), going 2-for-4 with 2 RBI and a pair of runs scored...Doubled, went 2-for-4, and drove in a season-high three runs in back-end of a doubleheader against VMI (4/13)...Finished a home run shy of the cycle while collecting his second career four-hit day against Savannah State (4/17), going 4-for-6 with a double, a triple, two runs scored and an RBI to help CSU to a road victory...Had final two-hit game of the year against Winthrop (5/4), finishing 2-for-4 with a double and 2 RBI.

2012: Appeared in 33 games and started 27 (26 in left field and 1 at DH)…finished the season hitting .260 with four doubles, two home runs, two triples, 14 RBI, and 16 runs scored…launched a two-run homer and finished 3-for-4 with 3 RBI in CSU’s win over Georgetown on February 18…went 2-for-4 and scored a pair of runs in CSU’s victory over Savannah State on February 22…had a banner day in CSU’s win over Marshall on February 24, hitting a homer and a double while driving in three runs and scoring two…was a perfect 4-for-4 with a run scored in loss to Purdue on March 4…drove in single runs versus The Citadel (April 4), UNC Asheville (April 6 and 7), and Presbyterian (April 21).

2011: Appeared in 25 games as a freshman in 2011 with 15 starts in the outfield… Also pinch hit in 10 games… Recorded two hits, including a double, and drove in two runs in his collegiate debut vs. North Florida (2/18/11)… Went 2-for-3 in the Bucs’ BSC win over Radford (3/26/11)… Hit his second double of the season vs. UNC Asheville (4/3/11) and also scored a run vs. the Bulldogs… Was 2-for-3 with a run and a stolen base at Georgia (4/6/11)…Walked four times on the season… Had a season-high four putouts vs. UNC Asheville (4/23/11)… Had just one error on the year… Had a team-long 14-game hit streak … Finished the season hitting .184 with an on-base percentage of .245 and a slugging percentage of .224.

High School:  Batted .625 with nine homeruns at Timberland HS… also had 53 RBI and 25 doubles… named to the All-Region, All-State and All-Lowcountry teams … also earned SCBCA 2A/3A South All-Star honors… also an all-region honoree in football.

Personal: Born August 12, 1992 in Charleston, S.C.… parents are Michael and Janice Welch… majoring in physical education… aspires to be a high school or college coach in the future.
