HARRISONBURG, Va. – Charleston Southern LHP Daniel Johnson was the winning pitcher in the Valley Baseball League's All-Star Game, held on Monday at Veterans Park. Johnson's South Team topped the North, 5-4.
Johnson is a rising sophomore at CSU and is playing for the Charlottesville TomSox this summer. He has a 2.18 ERA in 11 appearances as a reliever this summer. The closer for the TomSox, Johnson has four saves and 30 strikeouts in 24.2 innings of work.
Charlottesville is 15-17 this season.
Johnson made 11 appearances as a freshman this season for the Bucs. He had nine strikeouts in 11 innings.
