Lake announces date (Oct. 23) for Building Buccaneer Baseball Golf Tournament

CHARLESTON, S.C. - Charleston Southern baseball will hold its 9th Annual Building Buccaneer Baseball Golf Tournament on October 23, CSU head coach Stuart Lake announced on Friday.

The event will again be held at the Oak Point Course at the Kiawah Island Golf Resort.

Tournament Registration

Teams and players can register by contacting the Buc Club at (843) 863-7523 or by returning the form on the website.

Registration is at 10 a.m. and the tournament begins at 11:30 a.m. It will be played in a "Four-man, Captain's Choice" format with a shotgun start. The event will be filled with prizes for the top two teams, door prizes, a silent auction, Closest to the Pin, Longest Drive, and a putting contest. Lunch will be provided before the tournament begins.

The Building Buccaneer Baseball campaign will effectively raise necessary funds to enhance existing baseball facilities, including adding a new locker room with players' lounge and educational area, as well as improving the overall quality and effectiveness of practice and competition. Past upgrades including adding lights to CSU Ballpark have been fueled by the efforts of Building Buccaneer Baseball and the golf tournament.
