CHARLESTON, S.C. – Charleston Southern has shifted its season-opening series with West Virginia, scheduled for this weekend, to Joe Riley Park in downtown Charleston. CSU vs. West Virginia
Joe Riley Park (Feb. 19-21)
Friday - 11 a.m.
Saturday - 11 a.m.
Sunday - 10 a.m.
Record rainfall in the Charleston area over the course of the last year damaged the outfield surface at CSU Ballpark and the field repairs require additional time to heal. A decision on CSU's five home games scheduled for next week will be made early in the week and CSU Ballpark is still being considered for those games.
CSU begins its eighth season under Head Coach Stuart Lake, who begins the year tied as the Bucs' all-time leader in Big South wins with 75.
JOE RILEY PARK - Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park remains one of the premier stadiums and atmospheres in all of minor league baseball. Named after the city's longest-serving mayor, "The Joe" is the home of the Charleston RiverDogs, an affiliate of the New York Yankees. Riley Park hosted the 2014 Southern Conference Baseball Championship and previously hosted the South Atlantic League All-Star Game in 1998, 2000, 2004 and 2012.
TICKETS – Tickets will be available at the gate for $7. All seats will be general admission. Tickets previously purchased online will be honored.
