Singleton Fund to benefit from Yankees-Braves Alumni Game on Friday at The Joe

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Singleton Memorial Fund will be one of the main beneficiaries when former New York Yankees and Atlanta Braves clash in the inaugural "Legends in the South" Alumni Game on Friday evening (May 27) at Joe Riley Park.

The game pits former Atlanta Braves stars against those from the New York Yankees. Fans will be able to text donations to the Singleton Fund throughout the charity game. Charleston Southern University created the Singleton Memorial Fund in memory of Chris Singleton's mother, Sharonda Coleman-Singleton. Ms. Singleton was one of the nine individuals who lost their lives in last June's tragedy at Emanuel AME Church in Charleston.

General admission tickets for this once-in-a-lifetime event start at $12. Box seats are $25 each, lower reserved seats are $20, and upper reserved tickets are $15. Tickets may be secured by calling 843/577-DOGS (3647), online at riverdogs.com or at the Riley Park Box Office. Riley Park, now in its 20th season, transitions into the site of a reunion of sorts on Friday, May 27, as Yankees and Braves alumni battle.

Gates open at 4 p.m. so fans may watch batting practice and secure autographs.
