Lake announces dates for Building Buccaneer Baseball Golf Tournament and Alumni Weekend

CHARLESTON, S.C. - Charleston Southern baseball will hold its 10th Annual Building Buccaneer Baseball Golf Tournament on October 28 as a part of Alumni Weekend and Parents Weekend festivities, CSU head coach Stuart Lake announced on Monday afternoon.

The event will be held at the Wescott Plantation Golf Club.

TOURNAMENT REGISTRATION

Teams and players can register by contacting the Buc Club at (843) 863-7523 or by returning the form on the website.

Registration is at 8 a.m. and the tournament begins at 9 a.m. It will be played in a "Four-man, Captain's Choice" format with a shotgun start. The event will be filled with prizes for the top two teams, door prizes, a silent auction, Closest to the Pin, Longest Drive, and a putting contest. Lunch will be provided following the tournament.

The Building Buccaneer Baseball campaign will effectively raise necessary funds to enhance existing baseball facilities, including adding a new locker room with players' lounge and educational area, as well as improving the overall quality and effectiveness of practice and competition. Past upgrades including adding lights to CSU Ballpark have been fueled by the efforts of Building Buccaneer Baseball and the golf tournament.

The golf tournament will take place in the midst of CSU Baseball's Alumni and Parents Weekend festivities scheduled to run from October 27-30.

The Buccaneers will host their annual Fall World Series over the span of the weekend and will also include an Alumni Game on Saturday morning before the Charleston Southern Football game against Bucknell.
