Miller earns Come Ready Nutrition Big South Freshman of the Week honors for second straight week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (BigSouthSports.com) - For the second consecutive week, Charleston Southern first baseman Aaron Miller was named the Come Ready Nutrition Big South Freshman of the Week after leading the Buccaneers' offense on the week.

Miller continues to have the hot bat for the CSU offense as the reigning Big South Freshman of the Week delivered another scorching performance from the plate. Miller recorded multi-hit efforts in all five games this past week including three hits in the opener against Gardner-Webb, and a 4-for-5 day in the series finale against the Runnin' Bulldogs.

For the week, Miller hit a team-high .591 on the week with 13 hits in 22 at-bats. He recorded a team-high .909 slugging percentage and a .560 on-base percentage to pace CSU. He homered in both the first and third games of the weekend series and drove in five RBI and scored five runs on the week.

Winthrop redshirt-senior outfielder Anthony Paulsen has been named the Big South Conference Baseball Player of the Week, while Longwood senior right-hander Cody Wager has been named the Pitcher of the Week.

Also nominated for Freshman of the Week: Matthew Barefoot (Campbell), Landon Mitchell (Gardner-Webb), Drew Daczkowski (High Point), Joey Mendez (Longwood), Eric Miles (Presbyterian College), Evan Treehouse (Radford) and Colton Rendon (Winthrop).
