Bucs jump up to 8th in FCS Coaches Poll; remain No. 8 in media poll

CHARLESTON, S.C. – Charleston Southern went up two spots to No. 8 in the latest FCS Coaches Poll, released Monday. CSU remains No. 8 in the STATS FCS Poll. The Bucs have been ranked in both major polls for 14 straight weeks dating back to last season.

CSU registered its best win of the season on Saturday, downing rival Coastal Carolina, 59-58, in double overtime. The Bucs rolled up 473 yards of offense and nearly 43 minutes in time of possession against a Chanticleers' program transitioning to the FBS level and the Sun Belt Conference. CSU is 4-0 against FBS transitional teams, with two wins over Charlotte and victories at Appalachian State and Coastal.

Next up for the Bucs is a Thursday night matchup against Albany State. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. and the game will be broadcast on the Big South Network.
