Big South Player of the Week Release

Only two players in Big South history had achieved the career milestone of 20 sacks and 40 tackles for loss prior to Saturday's game; Anthony Ellis became the third after a 2.0 sack, 2.5 tackle for loss, and a forced fumble effort against Presbyterian in Clinton, S.C.

The CSU senior defensive end was in the backfield consistently and was the top player on the field for most of the afternoon in racking up a season-high seven tackles (six solo) to go with his second multi-sack effort of the season.

Ellis' first sack of the game forced a fumble at the PC 33 in the first quarter. His second sack led to a 19-yard loss that pushed PC out of CSU territory. Ellis captained an effort on the defense to hold PC to 76 rushing yards with conference leader Torrance Marable held in check to 13 carries for 28 yards in the game.

Busy in the field position battle for the Bucs on Saturday, Kyle Reighard punted the ball six times for an average of 44.0 yards per attempt.

The redshirt sophomore pinned two inside the 20-yard line and eclipsed the 50-yard mark for the fifth time this year with a 52-yard punt late in the third quarter to switch the field against the Blue Hose.
