CHARLESTON, S.C. - Charleston Southern head football coach Autry Denson announced the summer football prospect camp schedule on Monday afternoon.
The Buccaneers will be hosting multiple camps this summer, including a Young Bucs Youth football camp, four Buccaneer Prospect camps, an Air Raid 7-on-7 & OL/DL Big Man Camp, and a QB/WR Skills Camp.
Young Bucs Youth Football Camp
The Young Bucs Camp is a four-day camp designed to teach the fundamentals of football and promote leadership. Boys and girls ages 5-13 are eligible for participation. The camp is a non-contact camp, providing a fun learning experience for all campers. This non-contact camp is designed to improve a child's beginning and intermediate skill level. Fundamentals of all positions on offense and defense are taught in addition to life skills such as respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, teamwork and the importance of education. Participants are grouped based on age and skill level. The camp is run by the Charleston Southern Football coaching staff, as well as current Buccaneer players.
Lunch will be provided each day (Youth Camp Only)
NOTE: First day of camp will begin at 1:30 PM with Check-In beginning at 12:30 PM.
First day of camp will end at 5:30 PM.
All other days will begin at 9:00 AM and end at 4:00 PM.
Buccaneer Prospect Camps
June 12, 15, 26, & 28
These camps focus will be on position-specific fundamentals, technique and skill development for all positions and specialist while working with the Charleston Southern coaching staff. Through a series of individual drills and football related drill work, players will learn the Buccaneer way of preparation and practice. Two-way players will have the opportunity to work with both sides of the ball.
Cost of Camp $40 Pre-Register and $50 Walk Up Day of Camp.
Air Raid 7-On-7 & OL/DL Big Man Camp
The 7-on-7 camp will be limited to 8 teams, with a participant max of 20 athletes per team. The 7-on-7 tournament will begin with Registration from 8:00-9:00 am with the first games starting at 9:15 am. (A Guarantee of 5 Games Per Team) The OL/DL (Big Man) Camp will happen at the same time.
OL/DL will get to work the fundamentals of Offensive Line and Defensive Line, with the ability to crossover sides of the ball. For more information on the 7-on-7 camp, how to register and submit rosters, contact camp director Klay Koester at email@example.com.
QB/WR Skills Camp
The primary goal is to help develop and build fundamentals at each position. This Camp will be hands-on to instruct campers on drills, fundamentals and technique training and film study. This camp encourages each camper to develop new skills and achieve a new level of play and self-confidence.
Note: The University/Buccaneer Football Camps may postpone or cancel this, any and all events due to circumstances or conditions beyond its control, such as, but not limited to, natural disasters, acts or war, acts of God, including weather, or public health emergencies. Neither party shall be liable for damages for delay or default if such delay or default is caused by circumstances or conditions beyond its control, such as, but not limited to, natural disasters, acts of war, acts of God, or health emergencies. The Parties will consult with others to determine if the event can be rescheduled. -- It is not permissible for boosters to provide expenses for individuals to attend any of the Buccaneer Football Camps. Expenses include but are not limited to, lodging meals, transportation, and/or camp tuition.
