Allen makes starting debut in Hamilton's preseason win over Ottawa

CHARLESTON, S.C. - Charleston Southern football alum James Allen made his starting debut for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats this past weekend as the defensive back started at corner and served as one of the primary return specialists.

The Tiger-Cats closed out the preseason slate on Saturday against the Ottawa REDBLACKS with a 25-21 win at home thanks to a strong second-half performance.

Allen finished up the game second on the team with four solo tackles and added a pass defended in the win. He added two punt returns for 22 yards and three kickoff returns for 61 yards.

Hamilton closes out the preseason on Thursday, June 6 at Tim Hortons Field against the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
