CHARLESTON, S.C. – Charleston Southern head men's basketball coach Barclay Radebaugh announced on Tuesday the promotion of Colton Everett to Director of Basketball Operations. Everett spent last season as CSU's video coordinator, and is being elevated to the spot that Thomas Butters held the last two years.
In his role as video coordinator, Everett was in charge of the Bucs' video scouting efforts and also lent a hand in operating all facets of the program. CSU head coach Barclay Radebaugh is proud to see another member of his staff earn a promotion.
"I'm excited to see the impact that Colton will continue to have on our program as Director of Basketball Operations," Radebaugh said. "Much like Tee, Colton's work ethic, detail-oriented nature and ability to relate to our players made this an easy decision. Our staff has great chemistry and Colton is a big part of that."
Everett came to CSU last summer after spending two seasons as a graduate assistant at Hawaii Pacific University. There, he assisted in all aspects of the program, including recruiting, scheduling, and film breakdown and presentation. That experience will serve Everett well as he steps into a new role at CSU.
"I'm really thankful to Coach Radebaugh for this opportunity and the confidence he's showing in me," Everett said. "I've learned a lot from Coach, BJ (McKie), Ahmad (Smith) and Tee over the past year, and I'm eager to attack another season with all of them and our players."
Everett is a 2013 graduate of Ohio State University. He transferred to OSU after playing two years of college basketball at Sinclair Community College in Dayton, Ohio. While at Sinclair, he completed an internship at Wright State University. Everett has also worked basketball camps at the University of Florida and St. Bonaventure University.
