GREENVILLE, S.C. - Charleston Southern senior Jacques Wilson placed in a tie for 32nd to pace the Bucs at the Furman Intercollegiate. CSU finished 18th as a team after shooting a +18 306 in Sunday's final round.
No. 28 North Florida cruised to the team title with an impressive 54-hole tally of 17-under par 847. West Virginia earned runner-up honors at +1 while Virginia Tech bumped up two spots into third place. USC Aiken and host Furman tied for fourth.
UNF's Phillip Knowles finished as the wire-to-wire individual champion with a nine-under total of 207. The Ospreys' Andrew Alligood carded the round of the day - a four-under 68 - to move past eight competitors and finish second.
Wilson struggled to an eight-over 80 Sunday but still managed to finish barely outside the top fourth of the 123-player field. He had three birdies in his final round.
Elliot Gothe (T-63rd) and Connor Moore (T-96th) notched 75's for the Bucs' best third round efforts. Gothe was one under on the front nine and posted three birdies overall. Moore played the back nine at one over. Dylan Patscot (T-77th) contributed CSU's other counted score with a +4.
