Charleston Southern is back on the course for the first time since the Buccaneers erased an 11-stroke deficit on their way to winning the Wexford Plantation Intercollegiate back on February 26. The Buccaneers shot a 10-under par round on the final day to claim their first win of the season over the 19-team field.
All four of Charleston Southern's scorers in the round finished under par paced by Connor Moore's 68. The sophomore's strong finish placed him seventh overall in the field and put him among the conference leaders on the season.
Brandon Smith and Moore both sit among the Big South's scoring leaders on the season. Smith is 11th in stroke average at 72.82 per round on the year, while Moore is 15th averaging 73.12 strokes per round.
The Bucs head into their final three events of the season with the Furman Intercollegiate (Mar. 22-24) and Wofford Invitational (Apr. 1-2) still on the schedule prior to the 2019 Big South Championships.
