Bucs compete on day one of ETSU Buccaneer Invitational

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. – Charleston Southern thrower Jacob Moore and sprinter Joshua Paramore led the Bucs on day one of the Buccaneer Invitational.

Moore eclipsed his personal best, set last week, in the weight throw by .06 meters, throwing 15.36 meters to place 11th in the field of 39 competitors. He also competed in the shot put after a toss of 13.59 meters. 

Paramore had another strong outing for coach Roosevelt Lofton's Bucs. Paramore crossed the finish line in 7.09 seconds to take 34th place among the pack of 137 runners. Ben Robinson also competed in the event, finishing in 7.31 seconds.

CSU senior Kaishon Murray ran well in the 200-meter dash, completing the course in 22.63 seconds to take 41st place. Classmate Jared Watkins placed seventh in the high jump with a distance of 1.97 meters. 

CSU is next in action this coming Friday and Saturday at the Samford Invitational.
