Domoney's top-three finish paces Bucs on first day of Gamecock Inaugural

COLUMBIA, S.C. - Charleston Southern closed out the opening day of the Gamecock Inaugural on Friday afternoon paced by sophomore Jaymee Domoney's second-place result in the mile run.

Top Three

Joshua Paramore made his season debut in the men's 60m dash to lead the Bucs in the event on Friday. The senior finished 14th overall in 7.07 to pace CSU. Freshman Chukwudi Ezenwa finished 67th in 7.43.

Justin Green and Phillip Finsterwalder paced CSU in the men's 400m dash. Green was eighth in the field in 50.29, while Finsterwalder was 15th after crossing in 51.21.

Richard Sharp's third and fourth attempts were both clean to lead CSU's men's team in the triple jump. Sharp reached 12.99m to finish 10th overall in the event.

Clarence Moss finished 14th overall in the men's weight throw open on Friday afternoon. The junior reached 12.83m on his second attempt to pace the Bucs in the event.

Jaymee Domoney finished second overall in the field in the men's mile run to pace the three Buccaneers in the event. Domoney crossed the line in 4:15.42, while Matt Inman was in the top-10 in 4:20.75. Freshman David Bergamasco was 24th in the field in 4:35.98.

Jeryck Wilson topped the Bucs in the men's 3000m race on Friday. The junior crossed the line in 8:29.70 to place fifth overall in the event. Freshman Timothy Depue was 17th in the field in 9:18.24, while Joshua Martin was 23rd in 9:25.11. Ethan Blevins was also in the top-25 with a time of 9:33.56.
