Weekend Preview
Charleston Southern looks to continue its success this spring as the Buccaneers head into the weekend at the Carolina Challenge and the Liberty Elite Invitational. CSU will split up the team for the first time this spring as they continue preparations for the Big South Championships.

Vincent Johnson will look to continue his strong start to the season after capturing his second 60m hurdles title of the spring. The junior hurdler won the title at both the Clemson Orange & Purple Open and the VMI Team Challenge and is coming off another strong finish after crossing the line in 8.06.

JP Caglione has also been among the Big South's leaders in the men's weight throw and the shot put this season. Already with one Big South Field Athlete of the Week honor to his name, Caglione has been among the top three in both the shot put and weight throw a cumulative five times this season.

Timothy Davis (triple jump), Ryan Spiecha (shot put) and Frankie Thomas (high jump) are also rounding into form as the Buccaneers trio all finished second in their respective events this past weekend at the VMI Team Challenge. Spiecha has one title to his name at the Clemson Orange & Purple, while Davis has posted back-to-back top-three finishes in the triple jump.

CSU's distance team will also be ready this weekend with multiple strong finishes on the year. Matt Inman won the 3000m race, while Jaymee Domoney has finished among the top-three in the mile run twice this season. Andrew Akright took the mile championship in the season opener.
