Inman, Wilson lead Buccaneers at Penn State National Open

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. - Charleston Southern's men's cross country team took on a stacked field at the Penn State National Open on Friday morning as the Buccaneers finished 21st overall on the course on the campus of Penn State University.

Matt Inman paced the Buccaneers in the race that started at 11 a.m. finishing 77th overall in the field with a time of 26:13. He narrowly topped teammate and reigning Big South men's cross country runner of the week Jeryck Wilson who finished 79th in 26:13.

Andrew Akright was the third Buccaneer across the finish line to continue a strong sophomore season. He finished 128th overall with a time of 27:05. Jaymee Domoney was two seconds back with 27:07 to place 130th in the field.

Junior Trevor Dominy rounded out the scoring group for Coach Jim Stintzi placing 141st in the field with a time of 27:24.

Benjamin Eddy and David Bergamasco rounded out the Buccaneers in Friday race at State College. Eddy placed 146th with a time of 28:57, while Bergamasco crossed the line in 30:03 to place 147th in the field.

High Point Vertcross Invitational
Charleston Southern's Joshua Martin and Timothy Depue took on the field as individuals at the High Point Vertcross Invitational on Friday afternoon.

Martin finished 108th in the field with a time of 29:53.70, while Depue was 113th after crossing the line in 30:31.53.
