Gandara previously received the honors for the weeks of February 16-22 and March 2-8 and continues to impress inside the circle this season adding three more wins to her Big South leading 12 on the season and recording 32 strikeouts over seven appearances to raise her season totals to 120 on the season.
She picked up a pair of wins against Youngstown State in both ends of the doubleheader to open the week and added a complete game 2-1 victory over Boise State in the Easton Tournament to help the Bucs to a 4-4 showing on the week.
She finished the week with a 3-2 overall record with a 2.69 ERA and 32 strikeouts. She narrowly missed out on her third 10 strikeout performance of the season in the opener against Youngstown State, finishing with nine Ks against the Penguins in the opening game.
The game was notable in that Gandara started the contest and pitched a shutout first four innings, and then when YSU rallied in the top of the sixth, she returned to close out the contest getting the final four outs to end the game in CSU's favor. She also hurled a perfect 2.1 innings against the Penguins in relief in the nightcap, striking out four in the Bucs extra-inning victory over YSU.
Over her final 11.1 innings in California against DePaul, Boise State and Cal State Fullerton, she allowed nine hits while striking out nine, hurling a complete game three-hitter with six strikeouts in CSU's 2-1 win over the Broncos.
