Taylor announces spring softball academies and skills camp date

CHARLESTON, S.C. - Charleston Southern head softball coach Venus Taylor announced her Spring Hitting and Pitching Academy dates, as well as the date of her Spring Skills Camp, on Wednesday morning.

Taylor and the Bucs' coaching staff will be starting a four-week Spring Hitting Academy on January 7 that will meet once a week on Monday nights from 7 – 8 p.m. The Academy will wrap up on January 28 at the CSU Softball Field.

The eight-week Pitching Academy will also start on January 7 and will run through February 25. The pitching academy will also meet on Monday nights from 8 – 9 p.m. Pitchers are encouraged to bring their own catcher.

Pricing for the Hitting and Pitching Academies:
Spring Hitting Academy: 4 weeks= $160, 7 - 8 p.m.
Spring Pitching Academy: 8 weeks= $250, 8 – 9 p.m.
Limited spots available for both the Hitting and Pitching Academies

The one-day Skill Camp will be held at the CSU Softball Field on Saturday, January 12. There are three different segments to the camp with athletes able to partake in all three elements of hitting, pitching, and fielding, or can sign up for one of the three options.

Check-in for the Skill Camp takes place at 8:15 – 9 a.m. with hitting and fielding running from 9 a.m. until noon. The pitching portion of the skill camp is scheduled to run from 1 – 3 p.m. Athletes only participating in the pitching portion of camp can check-in at 12:30 p.m.

Pricing for the January 12 Skill Camp:
Hitting, Pitching and Fielding - $160
Hitting and Fielding Only - $105
Pitching Only - $85
