Maria Mueller

Maria Mueller joined Charleston Southern in December of 2023 as an assistant athletic trainer. She will be spending her time primarily working with the Buccaneers' baseball team.

Prior to arriving at Charleston Southern, she has compiled over five years of experience as an athletic trainer including multiple stints with professional baseball organizations. This past year, she served in an associate position within the New York Mets minor league system, assisting with the High-A affiliate, the Brooklyn Cyclones, in Brooklyn, N.Y. During the 2021 and 2022 summers, she worked with the Greenville Flyboys summer league baseball team.

Within the college ranks, she served as an athletic trainer at Tusculum University working with the volleyball and baseball programs during 2021-2022. Additionally, she worked at Carson-Newman University from 2019-2021 as a graduate assistant working with both of the school's swim programs. Her additional experience within intercollegiate athletics came in 2018-2019 at Kentucky Wesleyan College where she worked with the women's volleyball, men's wrestling and baseball teams.

Mueller earned her Bachelors of Science in athletic training in May 2018 from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and completed her MBA with a sports management emphasis in 2021 from Carson-Newman University. She is originally from Brookfield, Wisconsin.Â
