CSU Gets Preseason Practice Underway

CHARLESTON, S.C. – Charleston Southern women's basketball hit the floor for the first time as a team ahead of the upcoming 2018-19 season Tuesday. Led by head coach Fred Applin, the Buccaneers return four of their top five scorers from last season's team.

Tuesday was the first glance at freshmen Ahlea Myers and Sharita Godfrey in a Buccaneer uniform while seniors Rachel Burns, Breannah Bretches, Weknyne Dumorne, Ka'Asia Jackson, Lexii Cassell and Shelby Wilbanks put on the practice uniform for the first day of practice in their final season on campus.

CSU also sees the return of juniors Jasmine Blackmon and Tierra Steede as well as sophomores Kelsie Ruff-Mills, Anna Webster and Cailah Hicklin.

The Bucs tip off their season November 6 against Converse.
