CSU is coming off a 15th-place finish at the UNF Collegiate in Jacksonville. Senior Milleina Ohara led the way with a strong T-35th showing but the Bucs struggled as a team and did not play up to the form they showed in their first spring tournament.
CSU head coach Matt Cram-Smith hopes a break from competition and a familiar venue will serve his squad well.
"The girls are looking forward to getting back out there and playing like they're capable," Cram-Smith said. "We're focused on improving throughout the spring and this is another good opportunity to do it in a really good field."
CSU finished 14th in last year's Briar's Creek Invitational, playing two solid rounds before a difficult final day. Hayley McNeill powered the Bucs with a T-22nd place finish as part of her outstanding junior campaign. Ohara also carded two solid rounds before slipping in the final round.
Pairings for Monday's first and second round play have yet to be announced. The final 18 holes will be contested Tuesday morning. Live stats are available on Golfstat.com.
