With the conference championship in Ninety Six, S.C. just a week and a half away, CSU is hopeful it can build momentum this week. The Bucs are coming off a 17th place finish two weeks ago at the Briar's Creek Invitational and have struggled since a strong spring-opening showing at the Edwin Watts/Kiawah Island Classic.
"The girls have been working to get better and we're hoping to see some results this week," CSU head coach Matt Cram-Smith said. "We know we're capable of putting some good rounds together. We just need to take it one round at a time and play smart."
Freshman Daniela Intriago paced CSU with a T-64th finish at the Briar's Creek Invitational.
Seniors Hayley McNeill, Milleina Ohara and Emelie Flink have anchored the Bucs' lineup throughout the year. All three rank among the Big South's top-20 in scoring averaged. McNeill, an all-conference pick a year ago, is sixth with a 75.04 average.
The teams will play 36 holes Monday, beginning with a shotgun start at 8:45 a.m. Tuesday's third and final round will also be a shotgun start and begin at 8:45.
