CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Charleston Southern women's golfer Ellen Hume was recognized as the Big South Co-Freshman of the Week as announced by the conference office on Friday morning.
Hume tied for seventh at the Edisto Island Invitational this past week with the London, England native finishing two-over at 215. Her round scores of 68-76-71 led the Bucs on all three days to pace CSU to the finish in their final tune-up prior to the Big South Championships.
Hume had the fifth-most birdies and was among the top 10 in both par-4 scoring (4.06 average) and par-5 scoring (-2).
This week's recognition marked the third time she's been honored by the conference this season.
Campbell's Stacey White has been named the Big South Women's Golfer of the Week, while USC Upstate's Beem Pabsimma and Charleston Southern's Ellen Hume are the Women's Co-Freshman of the Week.
The Buccaneers are back in action at the 2019 Big South Women's Golf Championships held at The Patriot Golf Club in Ninety Six, S.C. on April 12-14.
