CHARLESTON, S.C. - Charleston Southern and Miami played to a 0-0 tie on Saturday in Daytona Beach, Fla., in the Buccaneers' final scrimmage of the 2018 preseason. CSU now turns its attention to the season opener on Sunday at Wofford.
The Hurricanes took 16 shots to two for the Bucs, and several spectacular saves by veteran goalkeepers Jazmin Gonzalez and Alyssa Dellacqua were instrumental in gaining the draw. The duo split the 90 minutes in goal, with Gonzalez finishing with four saves and Dellacqua stopping three shots.
CSU's game at Wofford is scheduled for a noon kickoff, and the Bucs play their home opener the following Sunday against Mercer at 1 p.m.
