CHARLESTON, S.C. - Three Charleston Southern women's soccer players were named to the Charleston Classic all-tournament team last weekend.
Allie Crossland, Grace Clark and Taylor Francis represent the Buccaneers on the squad that consisted of players from CSU, College of Charleston, Ball State and FIU. The Bucs won their game against FIU and had their contest against Ball State cancelled late in the first half due to inclement weather.
Crossland scored her first career goal in the 1-0 victory over the Panthers, breaking a scoreless tie in the 68th minute off an assist from Sidney Doherty. Meanwhile, Clark and Francis spearheaded a defensive effort that limited FIU to only four shots on goal in CSU's second shutout of the season.
The Bucs are back in action Thursday at 7 p.m. when they take on College of Charleston at Patriots Point. CSU returns home on Sunday for a 1 p.m. game against Jacksonville.
