Tennis adds Markvartova to signing class

CHARLESTON, S.C. - Charleston Southern head women's tennis coach Anca Dumitrescu announced the signing of Anna Markvartova to a National Letter of Intent on Thursday afternoon.

Markvartova comes to the Buccaneers by way of Hostivice, Czech Republic, where she lined up at the Gymnazium Hostivice under Coach Tomas Kocib. She also lined up on the TK Sparta Praha club team under Coach Ales Kodet.

In addition to her abilities on the tennis courts, Markvartova is an accomplished skier having won the "Kids Trophy Zauchensee" in gain slalom at the U12 – Europe Championship – Winter Ski.
She was a part of the Czech ski team in her U12 years
She also competed in the "Czech Kids Olympic Games" and proudly represented her region
