WTEN Preview: Bucs host Presbyterian Tuesday at Noon

CHARLESTON, S.C. - Charleston Southern returns home to play host to Big South foe Presbyterian on noon Tuesday at the Buccaneer Tennis Complex.

The Bucs (5-6, 3-2 Big South) dropped their most recent Big South match on the road against UNC Asheville last Wednesday. CSU won a doubles match along with three singles matches, but the Bulldogs secured the doubles point and three singles matches in a close, 4-3 win.

The doubles pair of Filippa Ericson and Kimberley Koerner won their seventh match in a row last week to give them an 8-3 overall record this season. The seven match win streak is the longest by any CSU pair since Yvonne Hubler/Nicolin Luecke won 11 in a row back in 2015.

Tiffany Pyritz holds a 4-1 record in Big South conference play. The four match wins are the most by any freshman in the conference so far this year.

The Blue Hose are coming off a win over Campbell and current sit in a tie for second place in the Big South conference with a 2-1 record. A win over Hampton and a loss to conference-leading Winthrop round out their conference slate so far.

First serve at the Buccaneer Tennis Complex is set for noon on Tuesday and live results can be found at csusports.com
