WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Kolisha Coleman was on the podium twice and Danielle Burnett finished second in the 400-meter dash to pace the Buccaneers on the final day of the 2017 Big South Women's Indoor Track & Field Championships.
The Buccaneers finished fourth overall in the team standings with a two-day total of 63 points. Liberty (207) won the overall team title, while Campbell (174) and High Point (97.5) rounded out the top three in the event.
In addition to her second-place finish in the 400m, Burnett was also recognized on the Big South Indoor's All-Academic team. The senior sprinter has posted a 3.56 GPA while majoring in Business Admin/Management.
Burnett and Coleman were both on the podium for CSU in the 400m event with Burnett finishing second overall with a time of 56.50. Coleman was third with a time of 57.23.
Coleman was on the podium for the Bucs in the 200m with the senior placing second overall with a time of 24.90. Aluntrea Davis was fifth in the field with a time of 25.43, while Jasmine Pilgrim crossed the line sixth with a time of 25.54.
Robinson led the Bucs in the 60m hurdles with the freshman placing third overall and sitting on the podium with a time of 8.69.
Pilgrim led three Bucs in the 60m dash finals with the junior sprinter placing fourth in the field with a time of 7.71. Davis was sixth overall with a time of 7.76, while Robinson placed seventh with a time of 7.79.
Emma-Lisa Murphy finished 10th overall in the 5000m run with a time of 18:15.25.
The Bucs' 4x400m relay team narrowly missed a podium spot finishing fourth in the field. The quartet of Coleman, Burnett, Pilgrim and Alexis Adams crossed the line in 3:58.41.
Caroline Edmondson finished 13th overall in the high jump with a height of 1.49m.
