CHARLOTTE, N.C. (BigSouthSports.com) - Charleston Southern's women's indoor track and field team was picked fourth overall in the annual Big South Conference preseason poll, as voted on by the league's head coaches.
The Buccaneers received 57 points overall to finish behind High Point (72), Campbell (68), and Hampton (67). Radford (48) rounded out the top five in the preseason poll.
CSU finished fifth overall last season at the Big South Indoor Championships paced by podium finishes in the pentathlon, triple jump, 60m dash, and the weight throw. The Bucs boast a strong returning roster that made strides last season in outdoor competition and will look to continue to build under the tutelage of Director of Track & Field and Cross Country Jim Stintzi and Head Coach Soyini Thompson.
CSU is set to open the 2019 indoor season at the Clemson Orange and Purple Open on January 12.
