WTRACK PREVIEW: Bucs travel to Columbia for two-day event hosted by USC

CHARLESTON, S.C. - Charleston Southern is back on the again this weekend as the Buccaneers make the trip to Columbia, S.C. for the two-day Gamecock Inaugural hosted at the Carolina Indoor Track & Field facility.

The women's field events are set to start at 10 a.m. on Friday with the weight throw. The track events on the opening day start with the women's 60m trials starting at 10 a.m.

Weekend Preview
Charleston Southern hits the road again to continue the 2019 indoor season this weekend at the Gamecock Inaugural. The Bucs posted four individual titles, including a pair of school records, in their first meet of the spring season.

Freshman Eden Senior sparked the way in her first collegiate indoor meet in topping the field in the women's 600m run. Her time of 1:40.32 was enough to take top honors and set a new CSU mark.

Fellow freshman Caroline Inman was also among the winners in setting a new mark in the women's 3000m race. Her 14-second win over teammate Makennah Mills put the Buccaneers 1-2 in the race and set a new CSU school record in the event (10:25.70.)

Rebecca Cadet also topped the field in the 800m race. The junior finished her four laps around the track in 2:25.07 to take the title and win her first collegiate race.

The Bucs added top three finishes in the weight throw, 800m, 60m hurdles, 200m dash, and 3000m race and will look to continue to showcase their ability to score in different events this weekend.

The Facility
The Carolina Indoor Track & Field Complex is located at 1304 Heyward Street in the old USC Field House. The facility features a banked six-lane 200m Mondo track, a separate throws area, two pole vault areas, two jumps runways and two high jump areas along with an eight-lane 60m straight track on the infield.
