Buccaneers working to keep the coastal waters clean

CHARLESTON, S.C. - The Charleston Southern volleyball team took time out of their spring practice schedule this past weekend to work with the Wounded Nature – Working Veterans organization to help keep the South Carolina coastal waters clean.

The Buccaneers spent their day loading up bags of oyster shells to return to the ocean to help the population repopulate and restore the coastal oyster beds. They followed up by heading over to the Cooper River and Drum Island to help clean up trash on the uninhabited island to prevent further harm to animals and the local marine life.
