Lady Bucs Finish Second at College of Charleston Invite

CHARLESTON, S.C. - Senior Adrienne Cuff finished second overall and freshman Jessie Dotson finished fourth in her first career race to help Charleston Southern to a second place finish at the College of Charleston Invitational run this weekend at Trophy Lakes on Johns Island.
Cuff finished 14 seconds behind College of Charleston's Hayley McMahon to claim second overall with a time of 18:34. Dotson ran with a time of 19:03, two seconds behind third-place finisher Sara Curry of Georgia Southern University.
College of Charleston won the race with 32 total points, while CSU was second with 43. The Citadel (67), Erskine College (107), and Georgia Southern (117) round out the top five.
Senior Susanna McKee finished one spot out of the top ten with a time of 20:16, while fellow senior Eloisa Parades ran a matching time to take 12th.
Senior Heidi Dean was the Bucs' fifth counter in the race, finishing 14th and giving CSU five runners in the top 15. She ran the course in a time of 20:23. Junior Hannah Burkholder finished 16th, six seconds back of Dean for 16th overall and junior Mary Davidson closed with a time of 21:04 to take 19th in the meet.
Charleston Southern runs this Saturday at the Adidas Winthrop Invitational in Rock Hill, S.C.
