CHARLESTON, S.C. – Charleston Southern tennis fell Thursday, 4-3, to visiting Toledo in nonconference action from the Buccaneer Tennis Complex.
Charleston Southern (5-5) took the doubles point and early 2-0 lead with 6-2, 6-3, 6-0 wins in doubles play and a win by default on court six in singles. Toledo (5-7) would answer taking four of the final five matches beginning with straight-set wins at the top two courts before clinching with a pair of three-set wins on three and four.
Luiza Fullana took down her Rocket counterpart by a quick 6-0, 6-0 match on court five, extending her win streak to three-straight, all coming on the fifth flight.
The loss snaps back-to-back wins for the Bucs as well as a three-match home streak.
