Bucs, Payne announce 2021 men's golf schedule

CHARLESTON, S.C. - Charleston Southern head men's golf coach Jason Payne announced the 2021 spring schedule on Friday afternoon. The Bucs will participate in six regular season events prior to the 2021 Big South Championships held in late April.
"It's exciting that 2021 is finally here and the team is ready to compete," Payne commented. "We are starting a little earlier in the semester compared to years prior due to not competing in the fall. With a good number of new faces on the roster, we have an eager bunch who are prepared to contend for a Big South title come April."
The Bucs open the 2021 spring schedule hosting Liberty for a One Day Match at Oak Point at Kiawah Island on January 15. Two weeks later, the Bucs will return to Kiawah Island for the three-day Any Given Tuesday Intercollegiate set to run on the Oak Point Golf Course from January 24-26.
CSU's lone tournament of February will take place on the 22nd and 23rd as CSU travels to Hilton Head Island for the Pinnacle Bank Intercollegiate at Palmetto Hall hosted by Francis Marion.
Two tournaments highlight the March schedule with the Bucs opening the month at The Palmetto Intercollegiate on March 8-9 at the Palmetto Golf Club in Aiken, S.C. CSU closes out the month at the three-day The Furman Intercollegiate hosted by Furman University at the Furman Golf Club on March 26-28.
The Bucs' final tune-up prior to the conference tournament will take place on April 12-13 at The Wofford Intercollegiate held at the Country Club of Spartanburg.
The 2021 Big South Men's Golf Championships will run from April 18-21 at The Patriot Golf Club in Ninety Six, S.C. The first three days will be stroke play, before the deciding final day will feature match play with the final four teams.
