CHARLESTON, S.C. – Charleston Southern women's basketball hung tough early before College of Charleston imposed its will inside and finished with four double-figure scorers on the way to a 96-60 Bucs setback Thursday evening in the matchup of a pair of Holy City rivals.

TRIO IN DOUBLE FIGURES
Three Buccaneers reached double-digit scoring with Sharita Godfrey and Skylar Baltezegar leading the way with 13 apiece. Each player dropped in six field goals, with Godfrey including a 3-pointer among her season high, while Baltezegar chipped in one from the charity stripe as part of an overall 11-of-14 (78.6 percent) effort at the foul line for Charleston Southern (0-6). Godfrey also hauled down a team-high eight boards and dished a team-best four assists while playing just over 33 minutes.

Jordan Rogers joined the duo with her career-best 11 points, which came off 4-of-5 shooting and 2-of-2 from behind the 3-point arc. She had entered the game with six points all year, increasing her scoring load in each of the last-three contests.

HELPER, HELPER
Although the Buccaneers managed just 22 made field goals, they assisted on 15 of them with four players having multiple dimes. After Godfrey's team-high four, Sha'Mya Leigh, Skylar Baltezegar and Victoria Dames each handed out three.

Janaia Fargo and Tori Gittens padded the team total with one each.

IMPROVED SHOOTING
CSU shot 36.1 percent (22-of-61) from the floor, establishing a new team season high. It topped the 33.3 percent (18-of-54) the Buccaneers in their road contest at Western Carolina, Nov. 20.

LOOKING INSIDE FOR SCORING
College of Charleston (4-3) flipped this game into its favor with a 52-to-30 edge on points-in-the-paint. The two starting post players for Charleston Southern combined for just six points, while the Cougars' starting duo in the paint combined for 33. Baltezegar boosted the total with her baker's dozen.
