CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Charleston Southern men's and women's track & field programs will face a daunting outdoor schedule, featuring eight regular-season events before the Big South Championships and any postseason advancements to the NCAA meets.
HOME MEET LEADS OFF
The Buccaneers will start the outdoor campaign March 11 by playing host to the CSU Throws and Distance Challenge at the Bagwell-Settle Track inside the Buccaneer Field complex on campus. The facility has served as the home to the 2010 and 2017 Big South Championships, as well as other meets through the years.
The meet is tentatively scheduled to begin at Noon and continue throughout the afternoon and evening with the last event set at 9:25 p.m. For more information on the meet, click

TWO MORE IN MARCH
Charleston Southern will compete twice more in the first month, traveling to Myrtle Beach for the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational (March 18-19) and then cross the state line into North Carolina for the Raleigh Relays (March 24-26) against some of the best regional competition.
BUSY APRIL
The schedule takes no breaks once the calendar flips to April, as the Bucs will compete nearly every week or weekend. CSU splits its squad to begin the month, sending participants to Durham, North Carolina, for the Duke Invitational (April 7-9), while simultaneously getting others a preview of the league championships with the Aggie Invitational in Greensboro, North Carolina (April 8-9).
A single-day Gamecock Invitational (April 16) awaits the programs the following week before they return to two-day competition at the Georgia Tech Invitational (April 22-23) in Atlanta.
The month concludes with a trip south to the Sunshine State and into Jacksonville for the UNF Invitational (April 29-30) to wrap up the regular season.
CHAMPIONSHIP MINDSET REQUIRED
As May arrives so will the desire to chase championships, starting with the Big South Championships back at North Carolina A&T in Greensboro. It will be the second time at the facility for many of the Buccaneers, who will look to use that to their advantage against their league peers.
The NCAA East Preliminary meet will take the best of the best in this half of the country and Indiana will serve as the host institution for the competition, May 25-28, setting the stage for the nationals two weeks later. The best across the country return to Eugene, Oregon, and the famed Hayward Field on the Oregon campus.
