GREENVILLE, S.C. – Charleston Southern women's tennis fell to a strong Furman side in its first road match of the spring slate. The win gives Furman the 2-0 advantage in the overall series, and stands as CSU's first blemish of the season.

The match started with Furman (5-3) making quick work of the doubles segment, taking the doubles point with wins at #2 and #3 doubles before the #1 doubles was unfinished.

In singles play, Charleston Southern (1-1) picked up its lone point at #6 singles as
Tiffany Pyritz defeated Maggie Pate in the final match to finish out the evening. Furman took the remaining results, led by 45
th-ranked Julia Adams' 6-2, 6-0 win over CSU's
Luiza Fullana at #1 singles.

Furman now leads the overall series 2-0, with both meetings resulting in 6-1 decisions in favor of the Paladins.Â
