Tiffany Pyritz took a 6-1 decision and
Madalina Man and
Khyanna Singh stood tall with a 6-2 decision to join
Noa Boyd and
Amila Jusufbegovic with a quick 6-0 result.
Singles went the way of the Bucs as well, as Fairfield (4-8) was unable to find a point in the singles competition. All six results came in straight sets for Charleston Southern, with
Laura Marti finishing strong at number two singles to clinch the sweep for the home team.
Charleston Southern's win Thursday evening makes it five matches in a row, including seven of its last eight for the reigning Big South Champions. In that stretch, CSU has collected each of its two road victories, both coming in Big South Play.
The Bucs return to action tomorrow, as they play host to Rhode Island. The non-conference clash will stand as the first in the series, the second time in as many matches that CSU faces an opponent for the first time ever. The action is set for a 10:30 a.m. start at the Gary Clark Banks Sr. Tennis Center.
