RALEIGH, N.C. – Charleston Southern's Jewel Ash established her second program record of the meet, as she topped the rest of her competitors to win the 400-meter hurdles Saturday as the Buccaneers wrapped up their participation in the Raleigh Relays in Raleigh, North Carolina.

RECORD-BREAKING TIME
Ash, who Friday set a new school standard in the 400-meter dash, claimed her second program-best time in as many days by crossing the finish line in 59.22 Saturday, edging out her own school record of 59.50. Not only was it the best in CSU history, it was the best out of the field of 46 athletes in the event and also kept her among the Big South's all-time Top 10.

TWO MORE RUNNING EVENTS
Charleston Southern had competitors in two additional track races, including the 200-meter dash in which four Bucs put forth solid performances. Destiny Wallace led the quartet in 38th with a time of 25.18, while Chloe Greene's 26.72 set a new personal record.

Ash then joined with Maddie St. Louis, Amanda Obijiaku and Sonsoles Barba to form the 4x400-meter relay and the squad placed 10th in a field of 42 teams.

FIELD EVENTS WRAP UP AS WELL
The Buccaneers had three athletes in field events, as Barba competed in the long jump and Layla Senter and Emily Danielsson were back-to-back with their final results in the hammer throw.

UP NEXT
Charleston Southern returns to action next weekend with two meets. The Bucs will have a handful of athletes at the Duke Invitational, Thursday-Saturday in Durham, while Friday-Saturday in Greensboro will feature another set of blue and gold participants at the Aggie Invitational.
