Charleston Southern took third place in the 2023 Big South Outdoor conference championships. The Buccaneer women combined for three individual titles, two relay titles, and 13 all-conference performances. What's more,
Chloe Greene was named Most Valuable Athlete by scoring the most points of the meet (22) while Zemaya was named Freshman of the Year by scoring the most points by a freshman (21).
Sprints/Hurdles
Destiny Wallace is your conference champion in the 100m with her time of 11.61.
Lauryn James was third in the 100m as well as third in 200m with the school's fourth-fastest time of 23.67m. Wallace finished sixth in the event, but ran the third-fastest 200m in school history in the prelims with her time of 23.59.
Dylann Core secured second place in the 400m with her personal best time of 54.40, the third-best in CSU history.
Chaneal Harris took third in the 100m hurdles but ran an even faster time in the prelims of 13.68 which is the second-fastest time in CSU history.
The Buccaneers won both relay championships at this year's meet. In the 4x100,

Grenisha Thomas came together for a time of 44.73, a Big South Outdoor Championship meet record. In the 4x400m,
Dylann Core,
Lauryn James,
Destiny Wallace, and
Grenisha Thomas teamed up to run a school record time of 3:39.54.
Combined
Chloe Greene defended her title in the heptathlon with a score of 4851. She was the top finisher in the 100m hurdles, high jump, javelin, and 800m.
Throws
Zemaya Carson finished second in two events: discus and shot put third and discus school record. She now holds the school record in the former with her mark measuring 48.19m and third in the shot put at 14.63m.
Chloe Greene won javelin for the second-straight year and improved her school record mark to 45.51m.
Distance
Sarah McCartney broke her own school record in the 10K with her time of 35:21.86 and took third in the meet.
Anne Akagi also brought home third place in the 3K steeplechase with her time of 11:20.41.
Academic
Chloe Greene was named to the conference's All-Academic team.
