Bucs Get Win Number Four with Second-Straight Shutout

ORANGEBURG, S.C. – The Charleston Southern women's soccer team won their second match in a row on Tuesday by a 3-0 score against the South Carolina State Bulldogs. This was their fourth win in their past five matches.
 
The match was scoreless until the 49:24 mark, when Kayla Reese made it 1-0 with a header goal that was assisted by Gracen Beilstein. Reese had two shots on goal in 45 minutes of play.
 
Then, at the 69-minute mark, Abby Angelucci scored her first goal of the season and in her career to make it 2-0. The goal was once again assisted by Beilstein. Ten minutes later, Kiah Cirino put the match away with a score on a penalty kick. That was the Palm Bay, FL native's first career goal to cap off the victory.
 
The Bucs (4-1-1) put up a season-high 37 shots with 21 of them on goal.  The Bulldogs (0-4) put up four shots with one shot on goal. Sara Curtis had one save, as the Bucs defense was dominant again with their third shutout in their first six matches.
