ROCK HILL, S.C. – Women's Cross Country competed at the 2024 NCAA Southeast Regionals on Friday morning in Rock Hill, South Carolina with Winthrop and the city serving as hosts of the meet. The Bucs placed 18^th in the field with there being 43 schools represented as they raced against everyone from South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia and Kentucky.

Charleston Southern was paced by Keerstin Augustin and Sarah McCartney in the front as they have been all season. Augustin placed 46^th overall in the field with her time of 21:43.0 while Sarah McCartney took 55^th with her time of 21:53.5.

Next across the line for the Bucs were Taylar White and Katrina Husby who had times of 23:27.9 and 23:33.3. Freya Buglass was the fifth finisher and completed the team scoring with her time of 23:48.9.

Sarah Jacobs and Elizabeth Shaylor also ran at the meet and collected times of 23:52.5 and 24:11.4 to complete their seasons.

Charleston Southern had the second-highest finish of the Big South members at the race as High Point took 10^th. Notable schools that CSU finished ahead of included College of Charleston, Richmond, Davidson, James Madison, Coastal Carolina, Morehead State and Northern Kentucky.

N.C. State's Grace Hartman won the race with her time of 20:04.2 with Silvia Jelego of Clemson being the runner-up at 20:04.4. The Wolfpack won the team title with a score of 60 and Virginia took the other automatic qualifier spot to Nationals with their team score of 85 for second.

The meet marks the end of the 2024 cross country season for the Buccaneers with them looking to get into full preparation for the indoor track & field season. Charleston Southern will open the winter with some of the team's top distance runners competing at the Sharon Colyear Danville Season Opener in Boston, Massachusetts.
